Megagem Notes & Policies
The Megagem shop exists because Meg Berry truly loves the gem business and uncovering the true beauty of each gemstone to delight and educate people. Part of delighting people is ensuring each and every customer is delighted with their purchase. We want to do that by giving you, the customer, all of the information you need to make an informed investment in the right piece for you:
Meg Berry has been in the gemstone business since 1975 and backs up each gemstone with her reputation
Each gemstone is as precisely described as we can get (we're human too, and colors may appear slightly different to the beholder). However, please note that weights are not certified and may be within a small range of the listed weight
Every single piece one-of-a-kind, but are subject to prior sales as the gem business can operate in-person sometimes. We update the online inventory as quickly as we are able to, however in the unlikely case that the piece you desire is no longer available, we will contact you and provide a full refund.
Each stone Meg Berry chooses to facet or carve has been chosen for its naturally unique qualities and beauty, therefore most of the stones in the shop have not undergone any treatments, though that may not always be explicitly stated on each stone. However, any stone that has undergone any kind of gem enhancement (i.e. heat treating, etc) will be stated in the description. Click here for a detailed list of gem enhancements from the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA). If you have any questions about gemstone enhancements, please do contact us.
In our business, color is important. We do our best to ensure our digital images display an accurate rendition of each piece. However, due to factors beyond our control (such as individual monitor differences and calibration), actual colors may vary from what you see on your monitor.
Before making a purchase we always recommend reading the return policy in case you find yourself in need of returning your purchase.

Advance payment via the website platform is required for all purchases, at this time we only accept PayPal payments, though this may change in the future.
Purchases are shipped via insured priority mail. When the package is shipped, you will receive a tracking code via email.
There are no extra shipping fees within the US.
We do not currently ship outside of the United States, but this may change in the future. Please contact us if you have any questions.
When you receive a purchased piece, if you find it is not exactly what you were looking for, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org within 7 days of receiving the piece to notify us you would like to return it. We will accept returns up to 30 days after you received the piece. Once we have received the piece in mint condition, we will refund you the full amount.
Megagem understands the importance of privacy and takes strict care to ensure that all customer data is protected. We will not sell or otherwise pass your personal information on to any other company, institution or person.
All transactions are subjected to California and US law. The USA is the place of jurisdiction for both parties.
